Christian Distinctiveness

Christ at the centre; life to the full

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10

We discuss our four values: wisdom, hope, dignity and community during collective worship and incorporate them into the children’s curriculum learning.  Our Christian distinctiveness encourages us to reflect on our school values and live our lives based on Jesus’ teaching.

Wisdom – I am the way, the truth and the life’ John 14:6

We seek guidance to make wise choices and help one another do the same. We want to be positive role models and encourage one another to be the best they can be both in character and academic development.

Hope – ‘I have plans for you declares the Lord’ Jeremiah 29:11

We promote a growth mindset but understand that sometimes we can feel upset or weighed down by things. We take comfort in the promise that Jesus is always with us and that good can come from bad circumstances.

Community – ‘Love one another as I have loved you’ John 13:34

We seek to put others before ourselves by being kind, comforting and loving. We look for opportunities to encourage one another, recognising that we all have different needs and interests that make us unique.

Dignity ‘Do to others what you would have them do to you’ Matthew 7:12

We promote an environment of respect, where we want to see equality and fairness. As all people are made in the image of God and therefore valued by Him, so we value one another and celebrate our differences.

Our School Prayer

Lord,  Bless our school

That working together and playing together we may learn to serve you and serve one another.
