Esher Church School Vision and Values

Our Vision

To be a safe, happy, loving community where excellent teaching inspires children to learn and explore, care for each other and believe that they can make a difference.

Our Values

Our values are based on the four distinct words that the Church of England uses to define its role within education: wisdom, hope, dignity and community.

Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills: We offer an enriched curriculum that enables children to master skills and consider ways we can be agents of change; fostering confidence and delight in seeking wisdom and knowledge, and fully developing talents in all areas of life.

Hope and Aspiration: We promote resilience and encourage children to embrace challenge without fear; Coping wisely with things going wrong, opening horizons and guiding people into ways of fulfilling them.

Dignity and Respect: We welcome and value everyone in our school community; Ensuring the basic principle of respect for the value and preciousness of each person, treating each person as a unique and worthy individual.

Community and Living Well Together: We create a safe environment and celebrate effort and achievement; Ensuring a core focus on relationships, wellbeing, participation in communities and qualities of character that enable people to flourish together.

Our aim is that all our children have a wonderful experience throughout their time at Esher Church School – to know that they are safe, loved, respected and valued for their uniqueness and individuality. We want to develop and nurture talents and make sure all our children are excited about learning and about life.
